Percentages are off today but calorie deficit is good. For lunch I wasn’t thrilled with the cafeteria choices and needed a day off salad. So I went with a turkey & cheese on rye and tomato soup. A good option for sure but a carbo packed option as well.

Felt tired all day and overall wasn’t hungry or thirsty either, really forced some water intake just to stay hydrated in case I may have a cold invading my good mood. Fingers crossed that isn’t the case.

Been all over the sites on my blog roll this week and lots of good progress this week by all there; a successful new year is underway!

This was probably my best day of diet and exercise combo since the new year.

Slowly getting into a groove, slowly recalling the tricks and tips that served me well over a year ago. Hoping it all translates into some breathing room in my trousers shortly; they are not comfortable and I will not buy any bigger sizes.

Nutrients about the same as yesterday, gave back a bit of protein for carbs but not many. Hit the salads at lunch & dinner so that means veggies which up the carbo numbers.

Dinner also included a homemade Mac n Cheese recipe which is not the healthiest. Made it for our daughter who is home from college. Just a small bit of that for me, the rest of my plate was lettuce green w/ pepperocinos.

As it was back to work today I took the stairs versus the elevator, the stair master entry accounts for the times I went up the four flights to my floor. Otherwise, I whiffed on the exercise; just mentally drained after work, blah blah blah… I’ll get my exercise going here folks, trust me.

My nutrient percentages were much better today. Want a higher protein and lower fat number, and I’ll get it there. The carb number being at 20% is right where I want it.

No exercise today, last day off work for the holidays do it was a family day more than a me day.

All that matters today is that I was under my +/- calories was a negative number.

The nutrient percentages are way off ideal, when the calories were consumed not ideal.

But for the first day back at it, I’ll take it and start working on edging towards ideal eating over the coming days.
