Good Morning Vernon

Posted: July 7, 2012 in Miscellaneous

Good Morning from Vernon County Wisconsin. We drove up here yesterday afternoon, the further north we drove the hotter it became. Above is the highest temp we hit. Thank goodness for air conditioning in the truck!

We grabbed dinner at Quaker Steak & Lube just north of Madison. Above Andrew works on a couple dozen wings. This place is a Wing lovers fantasy!

We stopped for groceries in Richland Center where we bought enough water, Gatorade and other drinks to hydrate us for a week; we will only be here the weekend. We came across that package of bacon above, as tempting as it was, we left it there.

No air conditioning in the place where we stay at our farm. Fans are our friends on nights where the temps are in the 70s. We use them to strategically pull air into the place at one end and blow it out the other, cools the place down 15-degrees making it comfortable enough to sleep.

Off we go now to labor out on the land for a good portion of the sun-lit day. Hot and productive is the combo we need to achieve.

Enjoy your day!

Have fun with your guys. You know you’ll love it when hunting season comes. And stay ACAP (as cool as possible). I remember the machinations with fan placement for optimal sleeping conditions from when we lived in AC-less, hot and humid Rome. I seem to remember a bathtub full of cold water available all night long for quick cool-downs when we woke up and it was too hot to fall back asleep.

  2. Have a great one & yes, stay hydrated! đŸ™‚

  3. Stay cool, Patrick! And maybe use it as motivation – the less you eat, the less warm you’ll feel. Best…

  4. That’s a different kind of hit when u need ice baths to sleep

  5. Good idea, motivation is on!
